Saccharomyces Genome Resequencing Project Strains
Three Saccharomyces strain sets produced from the Sanger Centre's Saccharomyces Genome Resequencing Project (SGRP) and subsequent development of haploid derivatives are currently available for purchase and/or pre-order.
SGRP Strain Set 1 – Parental Saccharomyces cerevisiae and Saccharomyces paradoxus strains
The set contains the sequenced Saccharomyces cerevisiae and Saccharomyces paradoxus strain derivatives from the SGRP set. With the exception of the S. cerevisiae laboratory strains S288c and W303, which are both stable haploids, each strain is available as a single spore derivative of the original homothallic parent strain. These strains retain a functional HO gene (i.e. are HO strains), and are therefore diploid.

SGRP Strain Set 2 - Saccharomyces cerevisiae stable haploid tagged derivatives
The Saccharomyces cerevisiae strains supplied are stable haploid derivatives in three versions - Haploid Mat a and Mat α and diploid Mat a/α all are ura3 auxotrophs tagged with a 6-bp barcode, recognized by a restriction enzyme to allow easy identification. Please note that not all versions of each strain are supplied.

The Saccharomyces paradoxus strains supplied are stable haploid derivatives in three versions - Haploid Mat a and Mat α and diploid Mat a/α all are ura3 auxotrophs tagged with a 6-bp barcode, recognized by a restriction enzyme to allow easy identification. Please note that not all versions of each strain are supplied
